The ACSA represents, at a national level, the interests of all 22 regional stoma associations in Australia, and provides liaison with the Australian Government and appliance suppliers; coordinates support services for people with stoma throughout Australia and publishes the national journal 'Ostomy Australia'.
The purpose of the ACSA is to promote the general welfare of persons who have undergone surgery for the information of a stoma.

MTAA represents the interests of manufacturers, importers and distributors of medical devices and diagnostic reagents. The role of the MTAA is to liaise with government and stoma associations on industry related issues to the SAS.

The AASTN represents stomal therapy nurses who have received specialist training to cater to the specific needs of ostomates.
The Association's major objective is the promotion of quality care for a wide range of people with specific needs relating to ostomy construction, urinary or faecal incontinence, wounds with or without tube insertion and breast surgery.
